
Collin Johns, Len Yang advance to men's doubles semis
No. 18 seeds Collin Johns and Len Yang punched their ticket to Semifinal Saturday in men's doubles with a three-game victory over No. 3 seeds CJ Klinger and JW Johnson.
Johns and Yang triumphed 11-7, 2-11, 11-6 to set up a battle against No. 2 seeds Christian Alshon and Hayden Patriquin at the SXY Newport Beach Open presented by JOOLA.
Johns has 35 titles, most recently at the Masters in January 2025, while Yang is playing in his first PPA semifinal.
Alshon and Patriquin, meanwhile, have enojyed success together this season.
The pair earned silver at the Masters, silver at the Indoor National Championships, bronze at Cape Coral, and bronze at Mesa.
