
Flash still undefeated after DreamBreaker victory over Ranchers
The Dallas Flash (6-0, 17 points) closed their Saturday at MLP Austin in style with a 3-2 victory over the rival Texas Ranchers (4-2, 13 points) that concluded with a back-and-forth DreamBreaker to remember.
It was Jorja Johnson who finally put the Flash over the top 22-20 in the decisive stanza, clinching the win at Austin Pickle Ranch.
The defending Premier Level champions remain undefeated on the season.
Entering the action at 20-20 on the scoreboard, Johnson was eager to get the job done.
"I was just listening to the crowd. I had my family behind me. I was just listening to my bench and not letting it get to me," she explained, referencing the magnitude of the situation when she stepped onto the court. "I just wanted to go out and play my game, and hopefully close it for my team."
And she did just that.
It was an especially meaningful triumph for Johnson and company in a battle for Lone Star State supremacy.
The Ranchers, of course, are competing on home turf this week.
"Thank you to everyone who came out, whether you're cheering for us or against us, you made it a really fun event," praised Johnson. "Hopefully, we put on a show for you all, so thanks for everybody."
Earlier in the day, the Flash made easy work of the Orlando Squeeze with a 3-1 regulation win.
