Haworth secures men’s singles crown with stunning performance

“That guy was sensational.”

That’s what Pickleballtv’s Dave Fleming said of Chris Haworth’s performance in the men’s singles final on Sunday.

It’s certainly an apt description, as Haworth dominated No. 5 seed Gabe Joseph 11-5, 11-1 to claim his third career singles title on the PPA Tour.

Haworth was particularly dialed in with his passing shots, as he skillfully maneuvered them by Joseph from all areas of the court in what will go down as one of the cleanest Championship Sunday performances in PPA Tour history.

“It was just one of those matches, luckily for me,” Haworth said afterwards. “I don’t think I missed many shots. I know I can’t play like that all the time, but I’m glad I chose a good time to do it.”

Haworth will look to take the momentum from this week’s title with him into the 2026 season, which will be his first full season competing on the PPA Tour.

No. 28 seed Rafael Lenhard came away with his first career PPA medal after No. 9 seed Zane Ford retired from the bronze medal match.
