3:40pm ET: Late run lifts H. Jansen over Buckner
Helena Jansen is into the women's singles quarterfinals after an 11-3, 0-11, 11-9 victory over No. 3 seed Brooke Buckner.
After two lopsided games to start off the match, Jansen got out to a 6-3 lead in the third and final game.
That quickly turned into a 7-9 deficit, but the No. 15 seed went on a run to score the final four points of the match and knock out one of the top seeds in the draw.

She will face No. 8 seed Chao Yi (Zoey) Wang with a spot in the semifinals on the line.
2:05pm ET: Fahey overcomes late deficit, defeats Smith in three-game epic
Kate Fahey booked the final spot in the women's singles Round of 16 with an 11-7, 10-12, 12-10 victory over Callie Smith in a match that lasted nearly an hour.
This was Smith's first singles tournament since 2023, but the hiatus didn't stop her from pushing the No. 4 seed to the brink.
Fahey had to overcome 3-8 and 6-10 deficits in the final game—and save two match points in the process—to advance.

She will next face No. 20 seed Hannah Blatt for a spot in the quarterfinals.
1:40pm ET: Khlif avenges Tucson defeat, ousts H. Johnson in straight games
Noe Khlif is into the men's singles quarterfinals after an 11-4, 12-10 victory over No. 3 seed Hunter Johnson.
Khlif lost this matchup just a few weeks ago in Tucson (where Johnson took home the title), but he turned the tide on Thursday in the Sunshine State.
Johnson had a chance to send the contest to a third with game point at 11-10 in Game 2, but Khlif saved that game point and closed out the match a few moments later.
He will face No. 6 seed Jaume Martinez Vich next, with a chance to make his first career singles semifinal on the PPA Tour.
1:25pm ET: Sock battles past Duong, and wind, to make quarters
Jack Sock earned his second straight three-game victory in Cape Coral with a 7-11, 12-10, 11-5 victory over No. 5 seed Quang Duong.
After taking Game 1, Duong had two chances to close out the match in the second game. Sock hunkered down to save those match points, though, before eventually coming back to take Games 2 and 3 to improve to 4-0 all-time against the 19-year-old.
Sock will face either Max Freeman or George Rangelov next with a spot in the semifinals on the line.
12:30pm ET: Late run lifts Freeman past Garnett
The upsets keep coming at Lake Kennedy Racquet Center, with recently signed Max Freeman defeating No. 2 seed Connor Garnett 5-11, 11-9, 12-10.
It looked like Garnett would close out the match when he earned a 9-6 lead in the deciding game, but the lefty Freeman fought back and held his nerve—even saving a match point along the way—to eventually come back and score the biggest singles win of his career so far.
Freeman will take on qualifier George Rangelov—who beat Gabe Tardio earlier in the day—as he looks to make his first career quarterfinal in singles on the PPA Tour.
12:15pm ET: Rangelov surges into Round of 16 with triumph over Tardio
On a day that has seen multiple top seeds fall early to qualifiers, George Rangelov continued that trend with an 11-9, 9-11, 11-9 victory over No. 13 seed Gabe Tardio.
After players split the first two games, Tardio jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the deciding game. Just when the match appeared to be out of reach for Rangelov, he scored the next nine points to take a 9-6 lead before eventually closing out the tightly contested encounter a few minutes later.

He will face No. 38 seed Max Freeman next.
12:05pm ET: Sock survives three-game thriller against Lohani
Jack Sock advanced to the Round of 16 with an 8-11, 13-11, 11-7 victory over No. 17 seed Aanik Lohani.
Lohani was out for revenge after Sock had beaten him handily at the Carvana Mesa Cup presented by Proton a few weeks ago and even had a match point at 11-10 in Game 2, but Sock held his nerve to take that game before eventually prevailing in the third.
The No. 9 seed will face No. 5 seed Quang Duong with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.
11:25am ET: Wazir outlasts Loyd in three games
Ammar Wazir is into the final 16 in men's singles after an 11-0, 5-11, 11-8 victory over No. 10 seed Michael Loyd.
Wazir started off about as well as he could have hoped for, taking the first game with a pickle in just over six minutes. As expected, Loyd responded in Game and evened the match to send it to a decider.
At 4-4 in that deciding game, Wazir used a five-point run to open up a 9-4 lead and went on to close out the encounter a few minutes later.

The former University of Illinois-Chicago tennis standout now has a chance to make his first career quarterfinal on the PPA Tour; he'll have to beat fellow qualifier John Goins to do so.
11:10am ET: Women's singles qualifiers set
Here are the seven players who fought through the women's singles qualifying rounds Thursday morning and who they'll play in the Round of 64:
- Katerina Stewart will play No. 25 seed Alex Walker.
- Lara Giltinan will play No. 29 seed Zoey Weil.
- Alexa Schull will play No. 36 seed Callie Smith.
- Shelby Bates will play No. 30 seed Victoria DiMuzio.
- Nicole Conard will play No. 27 seed Michelle Esquivel.
- Valerie Simon will play fellow qualifier, Jalina Ingram.
11:05am ET: 16-year-old Goins downs Frazier in straight games
John Goins is into the Round of 16 after an 11-8, 13-11 victory over No. 8 seed Dylan Frazier.
The No. 40 seed had to come through the qualifying draw on Wednesday, but he's no stranger to success on the PPA Tour. He almost made the Round of 16 in Virginia Beach in October, where he almost pushed eventual champion Ben Johns to three games.
Goins will look to make the quarterfinals when he faces either No. 10 seed Michael Loyd or No. 41 seed Ammar Wazir next.
9:15am ET: Notable withdrawals
No. 4 seed Tyson McGuffin and No. 11 seed Pablo Tellez have withdrawn ahead of the men's singles competition.
McGuffin withdrew because of a hamstring injury that also kept him sidelined in Mesa, but he is still expected to compete in mixed doubles with Lacy Schneemann and men's doubles with Dekel Bar later this week.
Nicholas Romano—who fell in the final round of men's singles qualifying—will take his place as the No. 4 seed.
Tellez withdrew early Thursday morning, so he will not be replaced by a lucky loser. This means that the winner of the match between Ryan Sherry and Mouaad Alhouni will advance to the Round of 16.
Tellez is still expected to play mixed doubles with Chao Yi (Zoey) Wang and men's doubles with Quang Duong later in the week.
On the women's side, No. 28 seed Olivia McMillan is the only player to have withdrawn from the women's singles draw at this point.
She is still expected to play women’s doubles with Michelle Esquivel on Saturday.
9:00am ET: Men's singles qualifiers set
