Pickle Breakers dedicate Guinness World Record attempt to Thomas Wilson

The Pickle Breakers are hitting the court again this weekend at Pickler Universe in the Dallas suburb of Carrollton, TX with a clear objective in mind.

Starting early Saturday morning, members Chong "CK" Kim, Geneva Olson, Cristobal Del Castillo, and Abla Mannarino are competing for over 36 consecutive hours to break the Guinness World Record for the longest pickleball marathon — and raising money for UPA Tour pro Thomas Wilson's medical treatments in the process.

Wilson is battling a rare autoimmune and autonomic nervous system disorder that impacts his breathing, circulation, and muscle endurance, and he has pursued help across the country and internationally via therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), and stem-cell therapy.

Advanced therapies like these are exceptionally expensive, of course, so Kim, Olson, Del Castillo, and Mannarino are stepping up to provide assistance.

"We’re dedicating this world-record attempt to Thomas Wilson, a beloved Texas pro player, husband, and father," wrote The Pickle Breakers via Instagram. "Every hour on the court is for Thomas, his family, and everyone fighting silent battles off the court."

The Guinness World Record attempt is being livestreamed on YouTube, and every donation goes directly toward supporting Wilson's recovery journey.

"It's incredible what they're doing. They're such a cool team," praised Wilson. "I'm going to be there, so I encourage everyone to come out or tune in online. It's going to be an incredible time."

Pickle Breakers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Kim and Colby Logan, dedicated to using the sport of pickleball to inspire community, inclusion, and charitable giving. Their mission is to break barriers through pickleball — connecting athletes of all abilities, sharing compelling stories, and producing exceptional events that raise funds for causes that matter.

This marks the group's second world-record attempt for the longest pickleball marathon following a successful bid in April 2025 that raised $25,000 for Taylor’s Gift, which provides emotional and grief support to organ donor families.
