PPA Tour Asia releases season-ending rankings
The inaugural PPA Tour Asia season is officially in the books, and the final rankings were released on Wednesday.
Double No. 1s and an inseparable pair
Hong Kit Wong finished the season with two No. 1 rankings—one in men’s singles and another in men’s doubles.
In singles, Wong delivered standout consistency, earning five medals in seven events, highlighted by a hometown gold at the Hong Kong Open. His largest points boost came from a stellar silver-medal run at the Panas Malaysia Cup, where he powered through a deep field to secure 1,300 points.
In men’s doubles, Wong and Eunggwon Kim showed that staying together pays dividends. The duo stuck with each other all season and ultimately shared the No. 1 ranking. Though they couldn’t quite capture a gold in 2025, they came painfully close at the Hong Kong Open, falling 12–10 in a deciding game to take silver. Two additional bronze medals worth 600 points each helped them seal their season-ending spot at the top.

Started and ended on the podium
Women’s singles belonged to Yufei Long.
Long opened the year with a marathon victory at the Panas Malaysia Open and never let up. She added two more 1,000-point triumphs—one in Fukuoka and another in Ho Chi Minh City—finishing with three tournament wins and the No. 1 ranking.
But the race at the top was far from one-sided. Sahra Dennehy mounted a late-season surge, collecting 2,500 points in the final two events and winning both to close the gap. She finished with 4,000 points, setting the stage for a must-watch rivalry in 2026.
Three golds, three partners
In women’s doubles, Ting Chieh Wei was untouchable.
Wei opened the season with three consecutive gold medals, each earned with a different partner. Collecting 3,000 points from three Open victories in three unique pairings showcased both her versatility and her dominance.
When you can win with anyone, you’re simply in a league of your own.
Mixed doubles domination to close the season
Alix Truong opened her Asia campaign with back-to-back bronze medals at the MB Vietnam Open and the Panas Malaysia Cup—solid results, but short of her ambitions.
Then, she caught fire.
Truong surged to two statement victories: first striking gold with her brother, Jonathan Truong, at the MB Vietnam Cup, then closing the season with another title alongside Federico Staksrud in Hangzhou. Two wins, delivered when it mattered most.
Your men’s mixed No. 1
On the men’s side, mixed doubles remained wide open all year. Golds were scattered, points were shared, and no clear leader emerged until the very end. Jonathan Truong ultimately claimed the No. 1 ranking.
His 1,500-point gold at the MB Vietnam Cup laid the groundwork, and two additional bronzes, worth another 1,500 points combined, secured his place atop the inaugural standings. In a chaotic field, consistency proved decisive.
