The partnership includes several initiatives—including the launch of both PPA Tour India and MLP India—set to begin in 2024 and 2025 to help popularize and grow the sport in the world’s most populous country.
The first will take place in August, where PPA pros will compete in and hold an exhibition event at the PPA Tour India Monsoon Pickleball Championships.
Additionally, India will make its debut as an official PPA Tour stop with the Indian Open set to take place in February 2025, where 1500 PPA ranking points will be on the line.
“This is an extremely exciting moment for the United Pickleball Association, expanding the sport’s reach to a very promising market,” said PPA Tour founder and CEO Connor Pardoe. “PPA Tour India and MLP India will create a pathway for players to compete on pickleball’s biggest stage and reach the top of the sport.”
