Waters powers past Fahey for women’s singles title, 40th career PPA Triple Crown

Anna Leigh Waters closed out Carvana Championship Sunday in Palm Springs—as well as an incredibly long day of competing—with an 11-1, 11-4 victory over No. 2 seed Kate Fahey in the women’s singles final.

The 18-year-old had already spent over three and a half hours on court in the women’s doubles and mixed doubles earlier in the day, but she put forth a dominant singles performance to claim her record-extending 40th Triple Crown on the PPA Tour, and her fourth straight at Mission Hills Country Club.

We’re only a few weeks into the new year, but 2026 has already been a busy one for Waters. In the days before securing yet another Triple Crown at one of the sport’s biggest tournaments, she signed a new paddle deal with Franklin and a landmark apparel deal with Nike to further cement herself as the face of the ever-growing sport.

Waters dove into some of the emotions that she felt competing this week with new sponsors and even higher expectations.

“I felt like I was very excited to come play because I had all this new fun stuff happening on the court, but I think it was a little bit of both pressure and excitement,” she said. “I also have two very good doubles partners to help me pull through if I was ever feeling a bit nervous, so I definitely couldn’t do this without them. We played some very tough competitors this week, and I feel like in every division I had to face a lot of good players. I’m very proud of myself that I was able to finish with a triple this year.”

Waters will continue her busy start to the 2026 campaign at next week’s Pickleball Central Indoor National Championships in Lakeville, MN, where she will compete only in the women’s doubles draw alongside Anna Bright.

In the bronze medal match, No. 10 seed Liz Truluck defeated No. 3 seed Kaitlyn Christian by an 11-0, 4-11, 11-3 score line to secure her first career PPA Tour medal in the United States.
