Waters will play for Triple Crown on Championship Sunday
World No. 1 Anna Leigh Waters will be seeking her 37th career Triple Crown on Championship Sunday at the Rate Vegas Cup presented by Holland America.
That was confirmed when Waters and women's doubles partner, Anna Bright, defeated No. 4 seeds Jade Kawamoto and Catherine Parenteau 11-3, 11-2 in the semifinals on Saturday.
Waters and Bright will face No. 3 seeds Tyra Hurricane Black and Parris Todd for gold.
The 18-year-old superstar also earned spots in the women's singles and mixed doubles finals on Saturday as well.
Waters will battle No. 11 Genie Bouchard in a head-to-head showdown, and partner with Ben Johns in a matchup versus No. 5 seeds Jessie Irvine and Gabe Tardio, too.
As per usual, her mom and coach, Leigh, has been on the sidelines every step of the way for support and guidance.
"Not only does having people who help you on the bench act as almost kind of a stress reliever when you look over and see them, but also my mom is very knowlegeable about the game. You kill two birds with one stone," praised Waters. "She's a great part of the team. She's seeing things that I can't see on the court."
Waters has already earned five Triple Crowns in 2025.
She boasts 162 career titles on the PPA Tour, including 54 in singles, 52 in doubles, and 56 in mixed doubles.
