Is it the bling, the tattoos, or simply Tyson McGuffin himself that makes him so cool?

Tyson McGuffin is one of the most visually distinctive players on the pro pickleball circuit. Nearly covered head to toe in tattoos and now sporting a flashy new tennis necklace, it begs the question: is it the accessories that turn heads or simply McGuffin’s undeniable swagger?

Dubbed "The Most Electrifying Man in Sports," McGuffin continues to set trends both on and off the court.

Recently, McGuffin shared the inside scoop on his favorite new accessory.

“I got a new tennis necklace with a brand new pendant, and I’m super excited about it. There’s a gentleman from Dallas named Todd who made it for me. It’s custom. Todd has done a handful of pieces for Hayden Patriquin, Gabe Tardio, and Brandon French, guys like that,” he explained.

“I had a simple necklace with a blingy pendant for the longest time, and then there were a handful of players that started coming out with the exact same look, so I just took it up a notch. I said ‘Hey, you know what, make me a tennis necklace that’s got diamonds on it and make me an even bigger pendant.’”

McGuffin’s competitive edge doesn’t stop at the court—it extends to his accessories as well.

And it’s not just the diamond-studded bling; his overall style plays a role, too, with McGuffin crediting Skechers for helping him look sharp and feel his best.

“Honestly, shout out to Skechers for decking me out. I love working with them, and I actually got to design my own shoe with Skechers and design my own clothing as well,” he said. “I’ve always liked tank tops, and obviously I’m covered in tattoos, so they add to the look for sure.”

McGuffin also revealed that he expects to complete his elaborate tattoo collection in early 2026.

“I’ve spent 200 hours in a tattoo chair, and in two months I’m going to get my legs done and then I’ll be fully complete,” he mentioned. “It’s going to be a bunch of portrait work. I have a portrait of my wife and my daughter, so I’ll probably get one of my dad and my other sons, along with some other special things that are meaningful for me. When I get a tattoo, it has to be something that I’m passionate about and something that’s meaningful because it’s an investment I’ll have forever.”

McGuffin talked about how he chooses his tattoo designs as well.

“For my wife, it took her so long to decide on a tattoo because she’s a little gun-shy and it would take her three years to decide,” he said. “For me, I’ve always trusted the process, the artist, and the piece I was going to get, so I can make a decision a lot quicker on what to get.”

While McGuffin proudly sports detailed portrait tattoos of loved ones and inspirations, he also plans to add a pickleball-themed tattoo to his collection.

“I don’t currently have any pickleball tattoos on me, but I’m going to get my first signature paddle I did with Selkirk, the AMPED Invikta back in 2018, and get my new signature paddle with JOOLA,” he noted. “I’ll probably have my signature shoe from Skechers on me as well. I helped build and create all these pieces, and they’re memories that I’ll have forever and that I’m proud of, too.”

If there’s one thing we know about McGuffin, it’s that he’ll make it look cool.
