Now, let’s get into what to watch for.
- Christian Alshon/Andrei Daescu are back as partners for the first time since the Orange County Cup earlier this summer. They have been one of the best men’s doubles teams on tour this season, medaling in five of the seven tournaments they have played together and capturing titles in Tucson, Mesa, and Red Rock. They are the No. 3 seeds this week and could face off against No. 2 seeds Federico Staksrud/Hayden Patriquin in what would be a must-watch semifinal matchup.
- In women’s doubles, Parris Todd/Catherine Parenteau are playing together for the first time since winning the 2023 Tournament of Champions. Even though they haven’t played together in a while, they should be a very tough out as the No. 2 seeds. Also look out for No. 7 seeds Jessie Irvine/Mari Humberg, who are playing together for the first time since making the semifinals of the PPA Finals last December. They could potentially face off against top seeds Anna Leigh Waters/Anna Bright in the quarterfinals.
- Jay Devilliers/Riley Newman are running it back in Las Vegas after taking bronze in Bristol in their first tournament together. The veteran duo will look to make another deep run this week as the No. 8 seeds and could face No. 12 seeds Julian Arnold/Travis Rettenmaier in what would be a flashy Round of 16 contest.
