
Palm Beach Royals announce Boca Paddle by CityPickle as home base
The Palm Beach Royals (MLP) announced on Monday that Boca Paddle by CityPickle will be their official home starting in 2026, hosting matches, practices, and community events.
The new state-of-the-art pickleball facility will feature:
- Royals headquarters located in 500+ square foot office space
- The "Royal Court" with 700+ seating and VIP lounges
- A dedicated Royals section in the pro shop with limited edition merchandise

The Florida-based expansion franchise begins play next season.
The team was acquired for a record $16 million by Hyperspace Ventures, a group of UNC-Chapel Hill alumni and tech entrepreneurs.
The venture capital firm is led by former Tar Heel tennis players Zach Hunter, Taylor Meyer, and Alex Rafiee, alongside fellow alumnus Peter Fox.
The ownership group also includes Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov, US Open champion Bianca Andreescu, former UNC basketball stars Tyler Hansbrough and Marvin Williams, Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowler Kenny Moore II, and successful founders Mitch Heath (Teamworks), Jeff Keswin (Lyrical Partners), Lance Pillersdorf (Advertising Week), and Scott Scherr (Ultimate Software).
The Royals also plan to host matches, youth clinics, and community pickleball festivals across Palm Beach County, along with local business partnerships to make pickleball a permanent part of the region’s athletic culture.
