Ava Cavataio is a junior majoring in Exercise Science at Florida Atlantic University and currently the #1 ranked women’s doubles collegiate pickleball player. Originally from Vail, Colorado, she grew up downhill ski racing before moving to South Florida in high school to focus on golf. After competing in junior golf tournaments and earning multiple Division II offers, Ava shifted her focus to pickleball, a decision that quickly paid off. She is a 2024 and 2025 Collegiate First Team All-American, a Minor League DUPR 22 National Champion, a member of the APP U.S. National Team, and a signed athlete with CRBN. Off the court, Ava enjoys working out and spending time at the beach.
