One of the biggest storylines coming into this week’s Mojo Energy Pouches Virginia Beach Open was how different the draws would look with some big-name stars not competing at this event.

Some players have taken full advantage of the added opportunity and made deep runs on the east coast, which made for an extraordinarily entertaining quarterfinal round and should make the rest of the weekend just as exciting.

On Semifinal Saturday, several players will be playing for more than just another win.

Some are looking to make a career-best run, while others are hoping to get back to a gold medal match for the first time in several years.
