Let’s get into what to watch for:

  • Parris Todd is playing her first event of 2026 this week after her suspension forced her to miss last week’s PPA Masters. She was originally suspended two events and fined $50,000 for participating in an unsanctioned event in Japan in December, so she will serve out the rest of her suspension by missing the first event of the Major League Pickleball season when it comes around in May. Todd is competing in women’s singles, mixed doubles with Andrei Daescu, and women’s doubles with Tyra Black and will be a threat to medal in all three events.

  • In men’s singles, doubles partners Tyson McGuffin and Max Freeman will square off in what should be a highly entertaining Round of 32 matchup. Both players like to hit big serves and find their forehands on third shots, so this week’s indoor conditions should give them both plenty of opportunities to ramp up the pace. Later in the day after their singles duel, McGuffin and Freeman will team up to take on No. 28 seeds Luc Pham/Tama Shimabukuro in men’s doubles.

  • Tina Pisnik/Noe Khlif are back at it this week after snagging bronze in Palm Springs in their first tournament playing together. They will look to make another deep run as they face No. 32 seeds Judit Castillo/Ivan Jakovljevic on Wednesday. Castillo/Jakovljevic will be looking to play spoiler after winning a three-game battle against Lindsey Newman/Zane Ford in the Round of 64.

Live streaming from Life Time Lakeville will begin at 10am CT on the PPA Streamed Courts YouTube channel.
