Here are the eight Round of 16 men's doubles matchups that will be played on Friday:
- No. 1 Hayden Patriquin/Federico Staksrud v. No. 6 JW Johnson/Noe Khlif
- No. 4 Christian Alshon/Andrei Daescu v. No. 12 CJ Klinger/Quang Duong
- No. 2 Ben Johns/Gabe Tardio v. No. 11 Connor Garnett/Tyler Loong
- No. 3 Pablo Tellez/Dylan Frazier v. No. 8 James Ignatowich/Riley Newman
6:25 p.m. MST: Friday's women's doubles quarterfinal matchups are set
Here are the eight Round of 16 women's doubles matchups that will be played on Friday:
- No. 1 Anna Leigh Waters/Catherine Parenteau v. No. 10 Tina Pisnik/Kate Fahey
- No. 4 Lacy Schneemann/Meghan Dizon v. No. 9 Jade Kawamoto/Jackie Kawamoto
- No. 2 Anna Bright/Rachel Rohrabacher v. No. 7 Lucy Kovalova/Etta Tuionetoa
- No. 3 Tyra Black/Parris Todd v. No. 6 Jorja Johnson/Vivian Glozman
5:30 p.m. MST: Johnson, Khlif overcome slow start to advance over Wright, Oncins
JW Johnson/Noe Khlif are into the men's doubles quarterfinals in Mesa after a 3-11, 12-10, 11-0 victory over No. 10 seeds Matt Wright/Eric Oncins.
The No. 6 seeds—who are playing together for the first time this week—looked to be in serious trouble when they got down 7-10 in Game 2 after dropping the first, but they saved two match points before scoring five in a row to send the contest to a decider.
They didn't look back from there, as they eventually closed out the match with a Game 3 pickle.
Johnson/Khlif will face top seeds Federico Staksrud/Hayden Patriquin on Friday for a spot in the semifinals.
4:40 p.m. MST: Late run lifts Kovalova, Tuionetoa to quarters
Lucy Kovalova/Etta Tuionetoa booked their spots in the women's doubles quarterfinals after an 11-6, 2-11, 11-5 victory over No. 12 seeds Mary Brascia/Maggie Brascia.
The No. 7 seeds found themselves trailing 4-5 in the deciding game, but they went on to score the final seven points of the match from there to secure the victory and advance.

They will face No. 2 seeds Anna Bright/Rachel Rohrabacher on Friday.
3:50 p.m. MST: Friday's mixed doubles quarterfinal matchups are set
Here are the eight Round of 16 mixed doubles matchups that will be played on Friday:
- No. 1 Anna Leigh Waters/Ben Johns v. No. 5 Tyra Black/Christian Alshon
- No. 3 Anna Bright/Dekel Bar v. No. 8 Rachel Rohrabacher/Hayden Patriquin
- No. 2 Jorja Johnson/JW Johnson v. No. 6 Jessie Irvine/Gabe Tardio
- No. 4 Catherine Parenteau/Federico Staksrud v. No. 7 Tina Pisnik/Andrei Daescu
2:55 p.m. MST: Rohrabacher, Patriquin outduel Brascia, Khlif in three games
Rachel Rohrabacher/Hayden Patriquin are into the mixed doubles quarterfinals after an 11-8, 6-11, 11-8 victory over No. 22 seeds Maggie Brascia/Noe Khlif.
Brascia/Khlif used a five-point run to earn an 8-6 lead in the deciding game, but Rohrabacher/Patriquin went on to score the match's final five points to secure the victory and avoid the upset.

The No. 8 seeds will face No. 3 seeds Anna Bright/Dekel Bar on Friday with a spot in the semifinals on the line.
2:10 p.m. MST: Friday's singles quarterfinal matchups are set

No. 3 Connor Garnett vs. No. 7 Jaume Martinez Vich

1:45 p.m. MST: Garnett stops Evans' notable singles journey
After eliminating Gabe Tardio and James Ignatowich from the singles draw earlier in the week, No. 46 Tom Evans was defeated by No. 3 Connor Garnett in a three-game battle.
Garnett posted an 11-8, 3-11, 11-4 triumph on Showcase Court 3 to earn a spot in the quarterfinals where he will face No. 7 Jaume Martinez Vich.

Also reaching the men's singles quarterfinals were No. 2 Ben Johns (def. No. 14 Roscoe Bellamy), No. 4 Hunter Johnson (def. No. 15 Gabe Joseph), and No. 10 Jack Sock (def. No. 6 Quang Duong).
1:15 p.m. MST: Christian reaches quarters, but Bouchard makes things interesting
No. 2 Kaitlyn Christian advanced to the quarterfinals, but No. 14 Genie Bouchard made her earn it.
Bouchard took the opening stanza, before Christian rallied to secure a 7-11, 11-3, 11-2 victory on Grandstand Court.

Christian will face No. 5 Parris Todd in the next round.
Todd defeated No. 9 Zoey Wang 12-10, 11-7 to advance.
Also reaching the women's singles quarterfinals were No. 3 Brooke Buckner (def. 20 Lingwei Kwong) and No. 4 Lea Jansen (def. No. 23 Mari Humberg).
12:40 p.m. MST: Staksrud overcomes challenge from Barlow, advances to quarters
After dropping the opening game, top seed Federico Staksrud didn't let No. 16 Matthew Barlow get the best of him on Grandstand Court.
Staksrud eventually earned a 6-11, 11-4, 11-6 victory to punch his ticket to the quarterfinals.

The Argentine star will face No. 12 JW Johnson in the next round.
Johnson defeated No. 37 Augie Ge 6-11, 11-6, 11-4 to advance.
Also heading to the men's singles quarterfinals in early matches were No. 7 Jaume Martinez Vich (def. No. 21 Cason Campbell) and No. 8 Christian Alshon (def. No. 9 Dylan Frazier).
11:55 a.m. MST: Parenteau survives scare from Walker, will face Waters in quarters
The all-Canadian matchup between No. 7 Catherine Parenteau and No. 18 Angie Walker went the distance, but Parenteau ultimately emerged victorious.
Parenteau triumphed 1-11, 11-9, 11-8, setting the stage for a quarterfinal matchup against top seed Anna Leigh Waters, who's also her longtime doubles partner.

Waters cruised to an emphatic 11-1, 11-4 victory over No. 48 Ariana Rodriguez to punch her ticket to the next round.
Also advancing to the women's singles quarterfinals in early matches were No. 6 Kate Fahey (def. No. 12 Jorja Johnson) and No. 8 Mary Brascia (def. No. 19 Helena Jansen).
