5:55pm CT: Mixed Doubles semifinals
Here are the two mixed doubles semifinal matchups:
- Anna Leigh Waters/Ben Johns v. Kate Fahey/Dylan Frazier
- Tyra Black/Christian Alshon v. Maggie Brascia/JW Johnson
4:35pm CT: Waters, Johns survive against Pisnik, Daescu in three-game epic
Anna Leigh Waters/Ben Johns are into the semifinals after a 11-9, 9-11, 11-8 victory over No. 6 seeds Tina Pisnik/Andrei Daescu in a tightly contested bout that lasted over an hour.
After teams split the first two games by identical score lines, Waters/Johns raced out to a 7-0 lead in Game 3.
But Pisnik/Daescu wouldn’t go down without a fight; they went on a seven-point run of their own to even things up, though Waters/Johns went on to close out the encounter a few minutes later.
Waters gave some insights into the performance, and what it took to ultimately come away with the win.
“I felt like we were playing into a lot of their strengths. Andrei’s a huge guy, so he can reach a lot of balls in the middle, and then Tina is just so steady. I felt like I was hitting to that middle spot to Tina a little too much and not going behind Andrei enough, even though it sometimes feels impossible to hit a ball that Andrei can’t reach,” she explained. “I think in the third game I got a little complacent, but it was a good lesson for me not to do that again.”
The top seeds will face No. 16 seeds Kate Fahey/Dylan Frazier in the semifinals.
4:25pm CT: Rohrabacher, Patriquin earn comeback victory over Truong, Duong
Rachel Rohrabacher/Hayden Patriquin claimed the final spot in the mixed doubles quarterfinals with a 6-11, 11-7, 11-4 victory over No. 19 seeds Alix Truong/Quang Duong.
It looked like the No. 7 seeds were in serious trouble when they fell into an 0-5 hole in Game 2 after dropping the first, but they ended the contest on a 22-6 run to advance in three games.

They will take on No. 4 seeds Tyra Black/Christian Alshon with a trip to the semifinals on the line.
3:20pm CT: Jd. Kawamoto, Ignatowich battle past Irvine, Tardio to make quarters
Jade Kawamoto/James Ignatowich are into the mixed doubles quarterfinals after a 3-11, 11-9, 11-8 victory over No. 8 seeds Jessie Irvine/Gabe Tardio.
Irvine/Tardio were fresh off a silver medal at last week's Proton Australia Pickleball Open, but Kawamoto/Ignatowich fought through a slow start to get the job done in three games.

They will next face No. 16 seeds Kate Fahey/Dylan Frazier for a spot in the semifinals.
2:40pm CT: Wang and Tellez, Truong and Duong earn three-game victories
The pairings of Zoey Wang/Pablo Tellez and Alix Truong/Quang Duong advanced to the Round of 16 with three-game victories.
Wang/Tellez—the No. 18 seeds this week—overcame a slow start before securing a 2-11, 12-10, 13-11 victory over No. 10 seeds Marietta Tuionetoa/Jaume Martinez Vich.
They saved two match points en route to the triumph.
Not to be outdone, Truong/Duong came away with an 8-11, 11-8, 11-8 victory over No. 11 seeds (and New York Hustlers teammates) Lea Jansen/Riley Newman.
The No. 19 seeds looked to be in trouble when they got down 5-8 in Game 2 after dropping the first, but a six-point run helped them send the match to Game 3 which they would go on to win as well.
Wang/Tellez will next face No. 5 seeds Maggie Brascia/JW Johnson, while Truong/Duong will take on No. 7 seeds Rachel Rohrabacher/Hayden Patriquin.
1:25pm CT: Parenteau, Staksrud pass early test against Truluck, Klinger
After dropping their first game of the day, Catherine Parenteau/Federico Staksrud rallied to defeat No. 35 seeds Liz Truluck/CJ Klinger 6-11, 11-4, 11-2 and avoid a major upset.

The No. 3 seeds made a run to the finals at the PPA Masters in their first tournament of the year, so they should have no shortage of confidence coming into this week's event.
They will play No. 16 seeds Kate Fahey/Dylan Frazier in the Round of 16.
1:15pm CT: Erokhina, Navratil outlast David, De la Rosa in three games
Genie Erokhina/Zane Navratil are into the Round of 16 after a grueling 11-5, 4-11, 11-9 victory over No. 12 seeds Vivienne David/Daniel de la Rosa.
The first two games were relatively one-sided, but Game 3 was tight throughout and eventually claimed by the No. 24 seeds.
Erokhina/Navratil will next face No. 6 seeds Tina Pisnik/Andrei Daescu with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.
12:15pm CT: Parker, Alhouni upset Jones, Fought in three games
After nearly an hour on court, Samantha Parker/Mohaned Alhouni earned their spot in the Round of 32 with an 11-5, 7-11, 11-8 victory over No. 23 seeds Allyce Jones/Todd Fought.

Even after a big win to start off the day, the No. 46 seeds have a tough journey ahead; they will next take on No. 9 seeds Jade Kawamoto/James Ignatowich with a spot in the Round of 16 on the line.
11:45am CT: Newman, Jakovljevic move past Bouchard, Sock
Lindsey Newman/Ivan Jakovljevic are into the Round of 32 after an 11-8, 11-5 victory over No. 22 seeds Genie Bouchard/Jack Sock in the first match of the day on Humana Championship Court.
They will next face No. 16 seeds Kate Fahey/Dylan Frazier for a spot in the Round of 16.
