A trade was announced between the Brooklyn Pickleball Team and California Black Bears:

Analysis for Brooklyn

Roster: Rachel Rohrabacher, Jackie Kawamoto, Hannah Blatt, Christian Alshon, Riley Newman, Chris Haworth

Brooklyn's busy post-draft period continues, and with this move, they take care of what was a glaring issue in 2025: DreamBreakers. Brooklyn was just 1-3 in DreamBreakers last season, but adding Haworth—who is up to No. 3 in the PPA men's singles rankings—should help them immensely. Haworth is unlikely to challenge for a starting spot in doubles, but Brooklyn is as dangerous as ever in both doubles and singles.

Analysis for California

Roster: Kiora Kunimoto, Sahra Dennehy, Emma Nelson, Michael Loyd, Anouar Braham, Luca Mack

The Black Bears have acquired cash in both of their recent trades, which opens the door to more aggressively pursue top talent either through the trade market or the four waiver periods that will take place throughout the season. The Black Bears will most likely struggle in 2026 with their current roster, but they have rising talent on both sides to go along with a sizeable amount of cash to work with.
